SimResults.ExportActiveResults error: Mesh scene has no results.

Hello,

I am trying to export Von Misses data to an external file. I found information about the

SimResults.ExportActiveResults function... but I get an error:  Mesh scene has no results.

Has anyone had similar problems?

Hi @aleksandra_g3 @erosslaszlod

I attempted to export the simulation results, but it is not working.
I apologize for not testing it before sharing the details.
I have logged a ticket internally to track the issue: FUS-214144

Hi @aleksandra_g3,

Unfortunately, this is a known issue with the new results workspace we're working to resolve, and the ticket HWK-6386 (and FUS-214144 from Sujay's reply) are created in our internal tracking system.

Temporary workaround: Uncheck the New Results Experience preview preference, the export to VTU text command should again be working on Windows machines.

  • Username drop-down in the upper-right corner of the Fusion app > Preferences > Preview Features > Simulation > Uncheck New results experience > Apply / OK
    • You may need to re-open the document for the changes to take effect

We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing, and thank you for reporting the issue.

Please let us know if you have additional questions, comments, or suggestions.

Sincerely,

Hugh Henderson

We appreciate letting us know about the issue, and thank you for the follow-up the workaround had success for you as well @aleksandra_g3🙏

Best regards,

-Hugh

ps / FWIW, I've verified the export to VTU text command succeeds on Mac systems now, as well as Windows. I suspect that our recent VTK 3P component update may have incidentally fixed the previous Mac behavior (good news @jeff_strater🐘  🚀
