Shell refuses to work on my spheres

Good evening

Shell refuses to work on object with added spheres.  Error:   The operation could not create a valid result. Try adjusting the values or changing the inputs.  Tried to use shell at multiple point in multiple layers but can not be used after first sphere was added.

You can use a different approach and get a shelled body.  This is a 2mm wall thickness.  Model is attached.

I see your strategy. Creating two surfaces. Except there is problem again. Ofset is only allowed up to 2.7mm while I need at least 3mm.

If it were my design - I would start over to clean it up, but in any case - see Attached...

Oops, I forgot to make the component Active, but you get the idea.

 

I suspect the design technique could be significantly simplified.

A couple simple sketches.

A couple of Revolves and Loft.

Shell and done.
