Hi, I sketched a rectangle around the size of my part I put in the correct dimensions no problem, there about a dozen holes in the part so I went and put them all in, put in all the proper diameters again no problem .... then I tried to dimension where the holes go on my rectangle .... I went to create sketch. selected a plane, selected dimensions in the sketch box, selected the center of a circle, selected a side wall of my rectangle, moved my mouse the dimension came up, I clicked on the dimension to change it and it gave me an error message "Adding this dimension will over constrain the sketch" I took exactly the same steps when I sized my rectangle ... no problem  ... I know I am missing something .... any suggestions ..... Thank You, George

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

It sounds like you are trying to dimension location after creation rather than before creation (or at time of creation).

Your circles are in Sketch1 - so that is where you dimension the locations.

Delete Sketch 2 and 3.

Right click (or double click) on Sketch1 and select Edit Sketch.

Hit d on the keyboard and start adding your location dimensions.
