Select Material when I select object in Appearance or Material Pane

In 99% of all other design softwares I use when I select an object and open the appearance or material panel it tells me already what material is used. (Think Blender or Cinema 4D or Illustrator etc.)
In Fusion (unless I am missing something) I have to 1) select the material and then 2) right click then 3) select "select objects material applied to" then I have to scan the browser to see if the object I am trying to check for has that material attached to it.
This seems like an awful long winded and inaccurate workflow (it's bascially trial and error). Compare this to select object - open pane and immediately find out which material is already applied.
In fact thinking about it most other packages have a tab for materials that you can always leave open for when you are texture mapping. Or for quick texture mapping on the fly.
In fusion you are required to close the Appearance panel before doing other actions.
Honestly the whole workflow seems a bit unfinished.
As I have posted many times Fusion is Amazing, it's awesome the whole concept is great, and super powerful.
Total respect, and I get that it's a big beast with lots of features.
But it does feel that there are little hidden corners that were never finished off from when it was an early demo/ prototype.
Would be great if now 10 years later that it's a properly stand alone package that people are using all the time to a high level, if someone could go through and just finish off those hidden corners.
Thinking:
- Decal
- Canvas
- Texture mapping
- Materials
- Camera tool
- and to some extent the Drawing space still feels a bit buggy (Although it is pretty good)
