You have to use a selection tool like.... Window Selection , Freeform Selection or Paint Selection to quickly grab multiple sketch entities or profiles, simultaneously, as in put for the extrude command.

After you've selected all sketches, you can unselect if you do not want any or various sketches by pressing SHIFT+ Left Mouse click

Did you mean Profiles? Sketches cannot be selected for the Extrude tool input.

'Unusual results' doesn't give a clue as to what they are.  Attach your file to the thread (File|Export|Archive files *.f3d) or make a screencast.

Still working on this, however I cannot open the file today.. Will have to wait until server is up. I did have some success using a slightly different dxf generation algo.

I wish that the dxf tool had a cleanup / gap connect algorithm. Currently I am having to pick through and find all the small gaps manually. I think the dirty dxf is most of the problem, however, that is somewhat of a regular thing with any software and Solidworks et al. have dxf cleanup routines with gap jump, smoothing, etc.

What is the name of SolidWorks tool?

Do you have a citation of reference link?

Have you attempted to run the SWx tool on your dxf?

Do you have access to AutoCAD?

Are you a student?

Can you Attach your dxf File here so that I can test in SWx and AutoCAD?

"Select all and deselect what I don't want" That is so much of overwork. Thing which can be done in 10 secs, will take a 2-4 minutes and lot of frustration.
