Section analysis by component

Hi,

Right now, if i want a section analysis it will cut through my entire model like this :

But i would like to be able to add a section analysis for a component only in order to achieve this :

here, only the shell is splitted but everything else is intact.

It is very usefull when you want to see how things are working inside a mechanism without having only half the model.

We also need to have section analysis by component in animation mode and render mode.

I ended up here because I was searching how to do this, only to see it's not possible... 5 years after the thread was posted.

Great, another workaround to add to my workarounds toolbox.

The same thing happened to me as to Jordy. Two months later, I still not even an ack from the PM team at Autodesk or a roadmap ETA.

Hi FFellows,

The Section Analysis, including the one for individual components/bodies, is perhaps one of the oldest topics on the forum … and it seems it will be present here … for a foreseeable feature.

In a separate post, I will present visuals of what Section Analysis might look like. Presumably, I will add some comments … which should be treated with … light acumen.
