Save Fail, Fusion Crashed and No Recovery Data

I have been working in Fusion this morning and have been able to create models, save them, render them. I started working on a new design that I was able to save early on. I have continued working but when i try and save the changes the error message

BRepHistoryBlobSerializer::doSave - ASMInterface::saveSmbFile Failed! followed by it telling me the file has failed to save.

I tried saving several times and doing Save as to try and create a new version, neither worked. This was followed by Fusion crashing and there being no recovery file or other versions of the file available to me either through Fusion or going to my online account. I have lost over an hours work with no backup data.

I have since started working again to catchup on all the work I have now lost and the program is reporting the same error message when i try and save. This is making it impossible for me to do any work safely.

I have tried doing a save as and I have tried working offline. Neither have solved the problem.

Any help on this would be really appreciated as I cannot do anything safely at the moment.

Thanks

Henry

Sorry to hear about the troubles with this design file! Can you post a copy of the diagnostic log files?

Diagnostic Log Files_.png

It would also help to have a copy of the design file. Would it be possible to export a local archive file and post it here?

This will help us to investigate the issue further. In the meantime, you may consider promoting a previous version of the design.

I hope this suggestion helps. Please let us know if you have any questions or if there are any difficulties obtaining the requested files.

Thanks,

I've attached the log file and the version that seemed to be the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion of promoting a previous version. Unfortunately the same issue happened when I did this and because the save function was failing no new versions were being created.

Eventually Fusion did start saving changes again, but I am still very nervous of working on other models for fear of this happening again.

Thanks,

Henry

Thank you for the log files and the archive file. I couldn't help but notice that the design didn't match the screenshot above. I tested the design and I don't appear to be able to reproduce any problems with save, even after modifying. Please let me know if I'm overlooking anything.

Thanks,

Hi Henry,

We tested with your model which is in old version, but unfortunately could not reproduce the save issue.

There are two possible workaround for this kind of things when next time you meet that.

1 use the "Compute All" command under Modify tab, than try save again.

2 If that not helps, try to roll Timeline before the first Feature and then Save. This will make bodies not saved, but Feature Histories are still saved. So after next load, we can roll Timeline to the end to re-compute the model back again.

Also, please let us know the reproducible steps if you meet the save issue again. Thanks!

It doesn't match in appearance as the element I was building in the model at the time of the screen shot was what I lost as a result of Fusion crashing. The bodies in the file attached to my previous post were hidden at the time of the screen shot which is why they aren't visible.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep them in mind if this error reappears.
