Save as .stl problem

I'm new to this so please pardon my ignorance.

When saving a ".f3d" file as ".stl", the dimensions of my design in the stl file are no longer the same as they are in the f3d file. Is the a preference box I'm missing?

Sounds like Units in each program are not the same.
