Sketch does not move with componet.

When I resize the base channel of this design, a hole in the bushing  part moves.

How can I anchor this hole to the bushing?

Have I missed a sketch constraint?

Thanks,

John

Hi @Anonymous,

Will you please make screencast? It will be very helpful in understanding what you need.

Hi @Anonymous,

You are right, it seems like a bug. For some reason everything inside the component moves beside the sketch.

I'm sure @jeff_strater will be able to help. In the mean time, use the Hole feature, it's working just fine.

Not sure this is a bug but it definitely is unexpected behavior. The expectation would be that the coordinate systems of the sketch that was placed on the offset plane would travel with the component. However, I am not sure that is how Fusion 360 works, or should work.

The offset constraint for the offset plan is still maintained and there is no reference in the sketch to anything else in that component. However, if you project the axis into the sketch and then constrain the circle to that projected line it works perfectly fine. When the axis of moves, so does the projected line and the constrained circle with it.

One can see , however, when you change the parameter while in editing mode or the circle sketch changing the parameter will not move the origin of the sketch along with it.

That is wha I feel is unexpected.
