Rotating a whole design

I have just completed my design. I want to simulate the strength of hinges using gravity loading on the doors that are being carried. Unfortunately, my hinge axis is along x-axis. I want to rotate the entire drawing so that the hing axes will be the z-axis. (I have my settings for z-up). I tried to select all components: (Hinges, doors, all screws, etc) and rotate 90 degrees along y-axis so to position the drawing for my simulation by gravity. It did not work!

I tested the same command at earlier points in the design, it worked!

Is there a limit to the number of things you can rotate? Do I have to redo the entire design?

Hi,

Just go to the view cube and change the top view

For example if you want the x-axis to be up, and you have the front as the x-axis, click on the front to view the front as 2d, then right-click on the front from the view cube and select " set current view as top "

##- Thanks for your help; But still did not make my hinge axis to become z-axis which I think I will need to simulate gravity

You can always select the direction of the gravity you know

It's not a must for the gravity to be downwards, in Fusion that is 😛

Thanks. I found it was not necessary to do anything more than specify where gravity is acting. I had thought it would only act in the z-axis. Many thanks
