Rhino.inside.... Fusion 360? - Grasshopper/Dynamo?

Recently I have been getting to grips with Grasshopper. The whole concept of computational design, regardless of the software package, is interesting for all sorts of things, from design to automation and to research in academia. As I have noticed, many Dynamo integration requests spawned on Ideastation throughout the years. Recently, Rhino.Inside was announced, which allows Grasshopper to run in any host program as long as it has access to the host API. So naturally, I was wondering what are your thoughts on this? Are there any plans to integrate Dynamo or would Rhino.Inside be a welcome alternative?

I am assuming you were hoping for some response from the Fusion 360 team but I'll chime in.

Y.E.S. this would be very welcome. Dynamo isn't bad, but unlikely nearly as powerful or mature as Grasshopper. It also doesn't have a licensing scheme/ subscription model I find acceptable.

Dynamo was once 'linked' to Fusion 360 via a 3rd party add-in AMC Bridge. But it only worked with Dynamo 2017 and hasn't been updated since.

@scottmoyse  That's why I was hoping for some discussion on this topic, because your statement validates the need for official support on computational design interoperability. Reliancy on third party support only, may very well backfire into breaking a fundamental workflow.

Any updates on this?  I'm sure there are tons of people who would like to know. Thanks!

Dynamo Studio has been discontinued and is dead!

Unless a generous and skilled soul is able to connect Fusion 360 and Grasshopper through Fusion 360's Python API and Rhino.inside I seriously don't see procedural design within Fusion 360 happen.

Aand over on the Revit side of things, they want to add new connections to other softwares and make the data open and accessible (from today's AMA). Though it still isn't.

Such a shame Fusion won't.

It could be a platform for innovation, Grasshopper 2 is maybe slightly over a year away (it's in alpha). There hasn't been a better time to start to work on this, just wait for Mcneel to give the sign to developers to go ham....I sure hope Fusion's devs and product managers are listening now.

I would not count on it. However, even if they did, I am 100% convinced that this would end up in another expensive Extension solidly priced out of range for that range of users who'd use it most.
