Revolve problem

I ran into a weird problem trying to revolve a profile around an axis. It seems to revolve correctly on one end of the body, but not the opposite end. I separated the two bodies and placed them into a new design and made a screencast. It was repeatable. I can't find where I did anything wrong. Using Windows 10, Fusion 360 version 2.0.5688

option > Join/New Body ...

Sorry, it´s another behavior:

plane not aligned

The plane is not aligned with the axis.

Thanks for the tip...a profile does need to align with axis to revolve correctly...why it revolved correctly on one side I haven't a clue...a more elegant solution was to create a sketch plane perpendicular to the profile plane and draw an arc using cylinder center and closest point of profile as the start, then do a cut sweep along that arc.
