Reset palettes to default dimensions

I have made some adjustments to the width and height of some palettes in the interface. Here is an example of what I mean, the sketch palette:

I would like for all of the palettes to be reset to their default width and height they were at the time I first installed Fusion 360. How can I make this happen? Is there a value in a .plist file somewhere?

@HughesTooling Thanks for the idea! I hesitate to do that because I don't want to lose other kinds of UI customizations. Is there a way to just reset the palettes to default?

Reset to default layout does a couple things:

1. It returns all dialogs to the main screen if you've been using a second monitor.

2. It returns all dialogs to their original size and placement.

It does not have anything to do with toolbar customization if that is your concern.

Thanks,

@Phil.E Thanks for the reply. Is that documented somewhere? The title of that action is kind of misleading. It seems much farther-reaching.

Perhaps not, at least I don't know where to find it. It's not a common question or complicated workflow. Usually it comes up when people have left a dialog on a second monitor and they ask about "where did the dialog go?".

There are probably many "commands" on application menus like this- where it's just not part of the help for Fusion modeling or CAM (or drawings, renderings, etc.). I would suggest exploring the application menus when you have learning time and feel free to ask questions here about what they mean. Happy to explain.

You can also find articles, videos, tutorials, etc. on the results when you go to the ?Help menu and use the search. It helps to search for the exact command name if you know it.

Thanks,

Thanks again. We'll take a look at this, I think you are right here.

Toolbar customization is reset by right clicking on the toolbar. So we could try to consolidate these concepts so you could at least compare them side by side. I think if you saw "reset toolbar customization" next to "reset default layout" it would be more apparent, hopefully.

I agree with you—I think that would clarify things more. Does the current command modify anything other than dialogs? If not, it would be more clear to say something like "Reset default dialog layout".
