Render size

Hi,

I was just wondering if there's a way to increase the resolution of screenshot renders taken as mine does not go further that 800x391 which is very blurry when scaled up.

Thanks,

Hey @Anonymous,

When you use the "Capture Image" command during an "In Canvas Render" it limits the resolution to the current resolution of your window. Thus, if you'd like to get larger resolution renders, you'll have to use the Local and Cloud render options which go up to a 4,000 x 4,000 pixel resolution.

Let me know if this is suitable for your workflows, or if you have any further questions!

Any reason the render size is limited to 4000 pixels? I can't see the harm of removing the limits if I am willing to do a local render and leave my computer on for days.

@Anonymous - There's a couple small detailed reasons why we chose this resolution at the beginning, but there is nothing technically limiting us from expanding the size moving forward. That being said, it would still require work to make the changes, and so far this issue hasn't boiled to the top of our priorities. I would encourage you to cast a vote for the related Idea Station post linked below to help us weigh it against other projects.

@Anonymous - This is expected behavior if you have changed anything in your model such as the Appearances, whether certain bodies are turned on/off, or if you have edited the Scene Settings. That being said, if no changes have been made to your model, you can continue to create new renderings of the same saved Version.

Please increase the size limit from 4000 px. Today I needed a render with 8000px width for an outdoor.

At least for the local render.

Your only recourse was previously addressed:
