Red lines appear in Sketch mode

hello,

so i imported an .svg file that i thought was closed. when i went to extrude it in Sketch mode, there were these red lines that appeared and i am unsure why.

any help is appreciated, thank you

Red dialogue box entries means you cant do what you have asked for, and you are not in sketch mode anymore.

Or, are you talking about these red lines?

Those are drawn at the outer boundary of profiles where there is an adjacent profile, like this:
