I am brand new, please cut me some slack if my questions are obvious. And thank you in advance for any help.

I am building a tray for sockets (tools). The tray is a rectangle, and each socket that will be in that tray has a rectangle cutout.

Firstly, I would like to space this "group" of rectangles evenly within the main rectangle. I could not find an easy way to do this but to add up the extra space on both sides and then divide by 2 and input that manually.

Secondly, and this is not the main point of this post, AND this may seem obvious - is there a way to make a pattern with different dimensions? Each rectangle requires its own width, but I could not find a way to do this. Maybe my google-fu is lacking.

@ar181813

Equal (=) constraints.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I see a lot of repeated work in your sketch?

Blue lines and white dots should keep you awake at night.

Yes - I've attached it to this post.

I'm purely learning off YouTube videos, if you have any recommendations to do better please let me know 🙂

Thank you for the reply!

The answer to the question is yes and no.  Sketch patterns are not recommended but can save time.

You had the spacings for the sockets sorted.

Equal wall thickness around the holes is done with sketch offset.

Pattern the divider lines, then delete the pattern icon, to allow for individual spacing.

8 Rectangles with 8 different depths, can't avoid 8 extrudes.

When done make the dividers with Web Tool.

Keep sketches fully defined, for parametric changes to work in a stable manner.
