Re-associate dimension - doesn't always work

I have come across a small number of occasions when a dimension requests re-association, even when absolutely nothing has changed. This can occur even immediately following the insertion of a dimension - which then asks for re-association!

I am happy with the re-association procedure but in these cases, although the dimension origin points are re-selected, the yellow flag remains. This seems to be associated with dimensioning points on the drawing that are close to what could be other snap points, and so it looks like the dimension snap process is unable to resolve which point to pick. It is not always easy or convenient to avoid picking points in close proximity.

Hi Fred,

Do you have a design or drawing that reliably reproduces this problem that you'd be able to share?  Have you noticed any common cases where this typically fails or specific dimension types?  You can re-associate dimensions either by choosing the Reassociate option on the marking menu from the yellow badge or by selecting the dimension then manually grip-editing the definition points of the dimension to new points.  Next time you encounter this, can you try both and see if you see a difference in behavior between these two methods?

Thanks,
Chris
