"Compute Failed - Failed to solve. Please try revising dimensions or constraints. Coincident" warning creating sketch constraints or dimensions in Fusion 360

Error "Compute Failed - Failed to solve, keeps reappearing even when all the restrictions of the sketch are accounted for. Sometimes it appears when an unrelated new geometry is created in the same sketch. Do sketches have a limited number of geometries? or a limited number of constraints? I am designing with parameters and equations, due to the error, the sketch is failing to be adaptative and isn't applying the changes.

Please attach your model.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Hi @jhackney1972, thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately, I have an NDA on the model I am doing and I can't share it. Although, I will gladly describe the process I am following and answer any questions you may have that don't violate the NDA. What information do you need, besides the model, to be able to help me?

The only thing I need is a failing sketch.  Can you create a mock-up sketch that exhibits the same problem?  Maybe a part of the NDA model sketch which means nothing out of context.

Blue / orange sketch articles and parametric changes - recipe for unexpected results.

Black or white (you have 1) articles behave as expected.

agree with john and dave, without something to examine we're just shooting in the dark.  sketches that aren't fully constrained (all black) are unpredictable and tend to fail when trying to control parametrically.

no, but practically speaking fusion behaves better with smaller, simpler sketches.  even if there were a limit, you shouldn't be any ware close to bumping up against it.  try breaking things down a bit.

it's pretty common for folks to go overboard with the parameters and equations, and in the process create conflicts. (which sounds like what is happening here from the error that is given)

are you sure you need all the equations? can fusion solve any of them graphicly with the sketch solver instead of with an equation?  (if they are related to geometry or trig then the answer is probably yes).
