Very old post you are posting to, it is cloud-based some features need the cloud to work like some of the translations of imported none fusion files, team hubs, and a few other features.

If you do not need the online stuff at all go hard and do not forget to set the offline cache time period to 90 days and go online at day 89 for any updates that be sitting there.

Yes, it's old but still not answered. Are you saying they will delete my local files if I don't log in for 90 days? What If closed the program before the files were uploaded and then don't use the program for 3 months? I'm not a professional designer and I don't use the program every day. Nice to now this before any disaster...

What exactly? This lists almost 700 results. I've read about the offline mode but it's not very informative. They also mention the catches and that this is one time operation.. What are those catches for? When I disconnected the interned I didn't do anything more. They say about 60-360 days, you say 90. Then there is mention about "Export" in this topic. This all is very confusing. All I want to have is local backup of files, and I still don't know what do I suppose to do for this. I don't get why this have to be complicated so much. I mean, is this normal that managing CAD files is more difficult than making a design?

Its an example of what you can do 90 days is just what I have, it is not complicated the cache is the local backup.

The export part is if you do not want the file to be online in the cloud take fusion offline do the model save it then export it out of fusion then delete the file from fusion, then go back online or whatever.

The Chinese stole my design and came to market with a perfectly identical product.

I mean down to the machine marks. As if they had my files and just used them to make the part.

Makes me wonder if they pulled my design off of the cloud.

How secure are Autodesk servers?

If they had a breach would they know it? Would they tell us? Do they have some liability in the event that they get a breach?

If I found out that my design was stolen and used to create a competing product I would be pretty pissed and definitely consider some type of legal action.

 Hello,

After having a “world disconnect”, due to a high wind, re-pointing my satellite dish, along with a flawed server, for four days, I have stumbled in to ask for a way to survive.

The pc stated that Fusion was not available. What do you do to get around this log in the road?

My private "free" license was out-dated. But I only recognized this after I built a new model.
So I renewed the license, and it even asked to save it - now the model is gone. And recovery doesn't find the project.
This is pretty frustrating!
Is there maybe a locally saved version of it?
