Question about function inside dimensions

Hi, I was sketching and I needed to put "sqrt(roofExtention^2*2)" as the dimension of a line. The problem is that fusion won't allow me to do so because the function remains red. "roofExtention" is a User Parameter set to 15 centimeters. Does anyone know why I can't do this?

roofExtention needs to be set to no units like kk below gg fail.

@daniel_lyall is correct - it's a units problem.  Dimensions have to evaluate to a set of unit that are in length units (mm, in, ft, etc).  The square in there is applied to the distance, too, resulting in "square mm", so the other way to get there is to divide by "1 mm" (or whatever units you are using), so that the result is in mm (or whatever).

Hi,

I would like to refer here once to a contribution (#5) by @TheCADWhisperer  in this thread.
