projected sketch will not emboss

I have projected my sketch to the surface but only the flat top areas of the sketch will show profile for extrusion or embossing. I realize that it is probably a break in the sketch but I cant find them. HELP

Sorry if I have posted this to the wrong board. If so please direct me to the correct one and I will repost.

If this were my design I would:

1. Start over with Capture Design History enabled.

2. Break up into several smaller sketches rather than large complex sketches.

Turned Capture History off because, I know it doesn't look like it now but, this was a long and painful process getting to this point. imports and deletions, and lots of different meshes. And we know how Fusion loves meshes with complex faces. Had to turn it off and delete everything to keep from freezing every time I moved the mouse.

Anyway. When you say several small sketches do you mean like deferent layers for each section? Because this sketch is several smaller ones, just all on the same layer.

@old-hippie

Can you check your Data Panel for a version before you turned off history?

”this sketch is several smaller ones”

This statement doesn’t make logical sense. A sketch is a sketch. 1=1

Fusion (and perhaps more particularly me) does not like deciphering single complex sketches.

A better practice is actually have several smaller more simple sketches representing the whole.

As the saying goes, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.”

Break this up into smaller individual bites (sketches) and it will be easier to consummate the bigger design.

Emboss has recently been Turbo-charged but your geometry if I understand may not be possible still.

I gather you want to have the emboss on more than the planar face?

Yes that is correct. I would like it to wrap around the air cover. Is there a way to do that maybe in multiple steps?

Yes it does make sense. There are 14 separate sketches that when extruded would make 14 separate bodies. They are all placed on one "Layer" named "Sketch 4" and another 14 sketches on Layer "Sketch 3". A sketch is a sketch. Yes and a Layer is a Layer regardless of its name.

there are no layers in fusion.  what your calling a layer is a sketch.  you have a bunch of stuff in a single sketch

you are right. I'm done. If someone can help with the "problem posted" I welcome it and thank them. I am not here to discuss terminologies.

What about a slight fudge?

yes that works. How do I get there? I know that I am doing something wrong or missing a step

Not very elegantly, unfortunately.

The top planar surface embosses fine:

Then I did a simple extrude new body:

then sweep cut that body roughly to shape ...it looks more like dripping icing than an emboss would but in this case it may be within appropriate design outcome:

As I said crudely done but offered as is!

Not exactly the effect I was looking for and it still needs some tweaking  but it will work until I can figure it out. Art can be frustrating. When I do figure it out I will post on the process for anyone else that want's it. I do apricate ALL the replies I have gotten and thank you all.
