Project sketch onto curved surface

OK, Ive looked through a few posts on here, but I dont seem to find an answer.

I simply want to project a logo (DXF) onto the curved surface of a model.

I get the warning "Warning: Not support projecting sketch geometry into same sketch, please change the target sketch or geometry." when I select the Curves in 'Project to surface'.

Ive lined up my Logo on a construction surface parallel to the surface I want to project to, but this error just keeps coming up.

I'm new to this, so where some have suggested 'add a new sketch' I just dont get what you mean..???

The error message answers your question, you need to start another sketch. You can't project to a surface if the sketch entities are in the current active sketch.
