Hi guys im making an adapter which has 2 prongs from the main base but everytime it gets too the forward prongs it prints right upto that points and then fails everytime i have tried priting this out 5 times now used nearly half a spool of pla . I have even tried redoing the design 3 different times in different calibrations and still does the same at the same point. It fails everytime once its about to print the prongs has i have run the part even through 3d builder too see if i had any unknown errors it come up empty. So if anyone could help with this i would be extremely greatfull has i dont want to keep wasting pla trying to hope it will eventually print, so here is the link to my fusion 360 file hope you can help solve this thanks all https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsGFSPoAMiaYmz4ix18r7cUcTnOzScreenshot (1).png

Couple of things,

This part is called Adjustable ...

The idea is to allow swivel or hinging within it?  Would explain the multiple bodies a bit earlier.

What printer?

What Slicer?

Does Slicer Preview show the finished part?

How high is it when it stops?

Time taken till it stops?

Are you seeing / watching the stoppage, any error message?

What method does the code get to the printer?

Can you attach the GCode file, if applicable.  Add to a Zip File, and attach it that way.....

Run my file,

Does it stop at the same height?

But for your questions no errors the height when stopping is on my latest edit was 45.45mm height and the subsequent file which you have edited is 48.11mm in height when stopped i hope this helps.

Hi cadwhisperer ill try yours later today hung up at present urgent matter i need to sort out today but what I wanted to ask your file is it exact copy to mine ie holes and thread or the length of prongs dimension, space between the cut in and too base. Or do I need to edit it myself to make it match the part I'm trying to recreate let me know thanks

No errors, Ok,

does the machine stop / slow down pushing filament , but print head keeps on going,

or the machine stops dead, and melts the top of the job as it sits?

I have found one review mention Heat Creep, and that is a Machine design fault, sounds like the cooling fan and or the design is allowing the heat creep, where the filament will clog, but machine keeps on going....

Other prints that were successful were shorter or longer as time to print,

more than one hour to stop is printer not slicer.

I sent you - your latest Fusion file converted to your machine GCode file to put on the SD card and print.  My settings should not be far off as a test.

Heat Creep does not show up for at least and hour of printing.

Make sure the SD card is not full.....

Might help....

Too cadwhisperer Stops dead on top and melts filament on top of the project. At the height I mentioned everytime the latest edit I did thats all in one no other bodies. But I have never watch the full preview in cura I just jump straight forward or use 3d builder to check for errors.

Then it is a Warranty claim for service from the maker, probably not heat creep.

Take some photos of your attempts, keep a copy of your sd card and send them the original.

They may already know about this problem....

No I did not print your article here,

Now that the printer does successfully print other articles, it will come down to the SD card, and or the file on it.

Please save the file you are printing - printer file   - (xxxx.gcode)

Put that file into a Zip file, add the zip file to a message, and I can read those here.

Please confirm the SD card has enough memory area to actually save the file on it.

I sent you a printer file earlier,

did you print it?

did it fail?
