Hey everyone.
I am working on designing a cabinet that requires the use of some hinges. I've found a perfect hinge on McMaster-Carr for the job and (I believe) I have successfully applied all the necessary joints and contact sets in order to see it behave in a realistic manner. Now I'm stuck.
I want to drive this hinge to two possible positions, open and closed (see attached images). I will be modeling cabinetry around this hinge and want to ensure there are no unwanted collisions during the opening and closing of the doors. I don't know how to move these joints in a controlled manner. I can click and drag on the model and it might or might not move a single pivoting joint properly; it seems like it behaves randomly. Does anyone have a recommendation for proceeding?
I've attached my project down below in a post reply so you can open it up and see the behavior for yourself.
Thanks!
Athan
Closed position should have left-most wall perpendicular to base.
Open position should have parallel base and head
