Project body results in (undefined-blue) sketch geometry

I’ve never seen this behavior before, but the body was created differently than I usually do, involving a thin extrude, add a few features, mirroring that body, then joining the 2 with another sketch and extrude.  Did I break a rule? In any case I sense there’s a better way to design this part but it’s eluding me so any help would be appreciated!! Thanks, Jerry

Probably not. You probably projected the body outline into your sketch without the Projection Link activated.  Notice mine is purple when I do the same sketch.

Wow, feel like a dummy - Been using Fusion for years, I'm guessing maybe that tickbox was enabled by default and now is not? Anyway, I sheepishly say thanks :))

Your sketches are unconstrained?

I probably would have used Full Round Fillet rather then Edge Fillet - unless you want that little flat at the top.

The advantage of Full Round Fillet is that it will automatically update with change in thickness of the part.

Might need to consider Design for Manufacturability (Face Drafts) but that is a whole topic in itself.

Since most people here seem to be 3D printing - I guess that isn't an issue.

No, never unconstrained, just saw this on a project and was puzzled how it originated. Good idea on the full round fillet, thanks - learn something every day here:)
