Problems with Rendering

Hello,

Hoping someone maybe able to help me with an issue I'm having trying to render.

I have the physical material set to Aluminium and the appearance set to Aluminium - Satin.

Without changing any settings this is the difference between the in canvas render and the normal local render.

Can someone please tell me why the two renders are different? I want it to look like the in canvas render.

Thanks

The cloud render looks more realistic for a Satin Aluminum to me. Have you tried Polished aluminum for your appearance? Here's a in canvas render I just threw together:

Front and right are satin

Back and left are polished

Scene settings are very important for results as well.

And here's what they look like on my machine when I turn on "Reflections" and change the background color to white:

Thanks I'll have a play with the polished appearance.

Do you have any ideas why the in canvas render and cloud/local render are different though? I haven't changed any settings between either render.

I think I found it.

Click on the gear icon "In-canvas Render Settings" and change it to advanced.

Seems strange how the fast option gives reflection and better lighting?
