I am making a bicycle frame and when I try to finish form there is a self-intersecting surface between two pipes, but I don't know how to get rid of them

Hi

Thanks for posting. I checked your design files and found the location of the self intersecting geometry. Please heal them and everything will be okay.

thanks for the reply, I've done that but I don't know how to heal them? I have used the interference tool but it did not detect anything. Would you mind showing me?

@corjack20 - below is a video showing some of the techniques I would use to remove self-intersecting surfaces.  The highlighted faces give hints about what is intersecting.  Then, use Box Mode to give you a better view of the underlying frame of the surfaces.  Then, use Edit Form in Box Mode to dis-entangle the surfaces.  Then, try another conversion, and repeat.

Most of your issues seem to be in the same area of the body.

Ah OK Thanks a lot for the help! But now I have another problem (should I open a new thread?) I can't export the model now as a drawing, which I want to show as a sectioned orthogonal drawing, do you know why?

is it a surface or a solid when you go back to design space?  surfaces don't show up in drawings.  you may need to patch and stitch the ends to create solids.

or attach your new model.

yep.  your coming out of t-splines as a surface, meaning it's not a closed body.  Here's a screen cast showing how to fix it.  once it shows as a solid in the browser you'll be able to see it in drawings.

sometimes the screen cast won't show up in the post.  some times it ends up showing up later.  here's a direct link

Ah thanks a lot! I'm pretty sure it's now a solid but now whenever I try to turn it into a drawing it crashes, did I do something incorrectly? Does that happen when the object is not a solid and I did something wrong? I reported it to fusion 360.
