Problem with drawing even with simple part!

Hello!

For my other problem with a drawing I haven't got an answer yet.

So I have now reduced it to another, simpler, example!

In the sketch I can define everything with dimensions and angles.

Sketch.jpg
Then an extrusion. No problem.

But in the drawing I cannot define the angle positions of the slots or the round section.

How can I create a drawing for my manufacturer?
The real part is much more complicated with many circular patterns. Without angular dimensions, drawing creation is impossible.

Is there a trick or workaround?

Thanks a lot

In the 2D drawing space, under dimensions use angular dimension and tap the space bar to get point to point angles.

Thanks for the quick reply!

That works for the arc. But the dimensioning is not very clear. The construction lines are missing.

But I can't find a central point for the slot. How do I define the angle position of the slot?

Make another sketch. In that sketch, project in the three construction lines from the first sketch. Turn those three projected lines into construction lines themselves.

Then in the Drawing, turn on the visibility of that sketch, and dimension the angles between those lines.

Hi Jan,

1. change line character in sketch > construction to full

2. activate sketch in drawing space

using of sketch elements for dimensioning in drawingsusing of sketch elements for dimensioning in drawings

Thank you so much for your help!

I didn't know you could turn on Sketch and use it in Drawing. This helps me a lot.

But it's a shame that Fusion 360 is the only CAD program on the market that doesn't have drawing tools in drawing. It's really paradoxical. The tools are available in sketch mode. It shouldn't be so difficult to transfer them into drawing.

The real part is much more complicated. I also need some section views. They also have their problems.

If I don't get there, I will export the part as STEP and create the drawing in my old SolidEdge.

Many thanks again
Jan

Hi Jan,

in the idea station there is among other things this entry.

Hallo Günther!

A good idea.

The one you specify goes in a different direction: change/extension of the existing drawing.
I would be happy if I could dimension the existing one.

But I have found some that go in the right direction.

Thanks for the reminder
Jan
