Problem rendering a decal on a cylinder

Hi, I'm trying to get a decal to render on a cylinder and I'm seeing a weird anomoly on one side of the cylinder. I've tried this on different designs, including one that just has a single cylinder and any image as a decal. I've tried on MacOS and now on Windows. Rendering in canvas, rendering locally or on the cloud all have the same issue. Please see the attached screenshot.. the problem, in case it's not obvious, is the wavy line. It seems to happen regardless of the size of the decal, how much I stretch it, etc. Thanks for any help..

That doesn't look like the correct behavior! Thanks for reporting this! Can you share the design with us?

Sure, here is the public link: http://a360.co/1WzxF2Y
I don't know if there's much value in this particular design since the same thing happens on either OS, with any cylinder and any image decal as far as I can tell.
Thanks

I am also having same problems. I have a decal that crosses several chained surfaces which worked on previous version but is only rendering on a single surface now

Hi @robduarte, thanks a lot for reporting the issue. As I know, there are some internal bugs have tracked this issue. The issue usually happens when wrapping a image around a periodic face (like cylindrical or conical face). The texture distortion will be big at the merging place. We are sorry that now there's no very good workaround for this. One possible approach may be split the image into two parts, and place them on the half periodic faces.

@scott_mayson, could you please have double check if it really worked for old versions? It should be a known bug.

Hi @brucehuang here is a screen shot of the issue. Decal "camoflage pattern" applied to top surface of component.

And when i roll history back to "Form1" then directly roll history back to last Decal with out any editing it looks like this:

Hi @scott_mayson, thanks for sharing the details of your issue. From the snapshots, it seems like a entity tracking issue for converted BREP faces from form feature. But I can confirm that it should be different issue against what @robduarte mentioned. I will try to reproduce it and log a bug tomorrow. Thanks!

I haven't tried it again since I originally posted, but if you're still having the issue I'm guessing it hasn't been fixed.

Hi there - was this ever supposably fixed? I am still getting the same problem no matter what settings I change. This is only apparent on a final render output. In the model space the decal seems to be applied/ showing perfectly fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is the Length and Width of your Image good to wrap the whole Bottle...? And in the bottom where we edit the image, the options of Horizontal and Vertical Tile are on..?

Thanks and Regards,

Rushabh Thakkar.
