print an image by dividing it into many A4 sheets

Good morning everyone.
I have drawn the profile of a surfboard, now I need to print the profile on many A4 sheets which I will then join with adhesive tape, in order to reproduce the profile with the actual dimensions, place it on the material and then subsequently cut it by hand tracing the edges. Has anyone ever faced this problem? I have a Mac computer!

I don't think that's a good idea. I would let it print in one piece in a print shop.
One half is enough.

solution already considered and discarded, first I have to evaluate whether it is possible to solve the problem without relying on third parties.
Let's wait to see if anyone has anything to teach us

Hey @motorimicro

I'd do it like this:

Make a sketch of rectangles on top of the model that are slightly smaller than A4 (printable margin)

Create a view at 1:1 on the drawing, then make this sketch visible in the drawing. Position the first printable rectangle on the sheet.

Print this 1:1

Then move the view, to fit the next printable rectangle and print that out 1:1

Hi,

1. create a  drawing with "custom size"  > View 1:1

print as poster.png

2. Print  > print to PDF

3. open PDF > print as poster

Hi,

I would create the full size pdf and save it then edit a copy in a pdf editor and simply change the sheet size to A4 and

then print it. This should spread the data across multiple pages automagically.

There is also options like this for printing oversize sheets on some printer drivers. Much like printing

multiple pages on a sheet some drivers allow multiple fractions of a sheet on a page.

Cheers

It would be more accurate to loft it the same way people have been lofting and building boats for centuries.  Layout the centerline, layout section lines 90 degrees to the centerline.  Measure each.  Use a batten board to create a fair curve between all of the sections.

You may want to revise your drawing and use fewer control points.  In the left side of this image, I tried to match your control points (The upper left one didn't give the same curve as yours).  The right side has 3 fewer control points.  The curvature combs show the difference.

Answer to g-andersen:

I tried your method, but it doesn't work, the file isn't saved, it seems to be fine until the end but then there is no file in the folder I specify! see Fig1

When working with PDF, you need to be reasonably familiar with the settings
