after the last update I am not able to patch a circle that is projected to surface. please check the video below after the update

that's a weird regression, and hopefully someone from AD will be along to record it as a bug.

I would suggest that instead of projecting to a surface, you instead split the surface.  the curvature quality is much better-

that is a good Idea. I will try that. I hope they manage to solve this issue as i need it for most of my design. alternately I will try out your suggestion.
