The current diameter of the inner hole is 0.266" and I want to increase it to 0.315" I am able to use the Press/Pull feature (offset) but I'm not able to get it to exactly 0.315". I'm typing the value (0.049") in the box that pops up but there seems to be a formula that I'm missing 🙂. I've tried using half of 0.049" thinking maybe I should enter the radius instead of the diameter, but that's not it either.

I think you will have success using the Offset Face command.  It is located under the Modify menu.

@jhackney1972 Thank you for your reply. I believe the Press Pull automatically chooses the correct operation. Nonetheless, I did try the Offset Face command directly, selected the face and added the appropriate number.

the current diameter is 0.266"

I want it to be 0.315"

So I entered -0.049"

What I get is a diameter of 0.364" 🤔. Same as what I get when I use Press Pull.

I must be missing something really obvious, but I'm at a loss.

Thank you for your reply @davebYYPCU,

It was made from a sketch originally and then using the rectangular pattern command (the sketch only have one)  on a body I made multiple.

Are you saying if I modified the sketch, the multiple copies in the body will change?

Yes,

and your result is 0.049 too big, Use half of 0.049.

What your stating is what I would expect. Consider this - Your hole is .266 dia. You tell it to offset the face -0.049, making it larger. The .049 is offset from the entire circle, adding twice the offset to the diameter. End result, .364.

I believe Push/Pull and Offset face will accept formulas, try entering -.049/2 in the value.

I know I tried this before I posted to the forum. But you're right, it needs the radius and not the diameter as the offset.

@davebYYPCU Thank you.

Thank you @simsworx! I'm positive I tried half before posting to the forum. But yes, half actually worked.

Yes, it all makes sense now. If you read the very first message I posted, I had tried half the value (but obviously, I must have made a mistake), and since that "also" didn't work I was stumped :0. But now I know that I surely got something mixed up.

Thank you for all of your help and explanation. Much appreciate.
