Possible to perform combine operation on multiple components?

I have somewhere around 300 components (all of which are instances of 3 parent components, translated and rotated procedurally) that I'd like to be able to combine into a single body.  The combine command doesn't seem to be able to deal with multiple components, or maybe components that are instances of the same parent.

Any operations that have to be done individually to each component are out, as I don't have time to do something 300x.

Thanks in advance.

I think I figured it out.  I needed some other body to be the target, then I could use all the bodies I had as tool bodies.

yep, that's it.  You just have to pick a single body as a target, then you can select as many as you want to be "tools".

I think the issue was that I couldn't have the target and a tool body be an instance of the same component?  Does this sound right?

Yes, that's correct.  Fusion blocks you from using another instance of the target component as a tool body.  I guess that makes sense, but it does seem a bit odd, I agree.

Another place where some sort of message might be useful when you try to do that.  I guess my use case is probably fairly uncommon though.
