Help to simulate pressing the cover latch. I'm doing a load of 20NT, with the real item is already broken, but there is almost nothing happens. Explain how to do it correctly? Too little instruction with examples

Hello,

I recommended to check ‘Safety Factor’ result. This results informs you where is Safety Factor minimum. The minimum should be higher than 1.0 for undeforming (breaking) designs.

Thank you very much, this is useful information! And what is the stress test is different from the safety? And if one is a limit to Safety, something that shows the scale of the stress if I give load 15NM ?

Yet of course I am not sure that is correct to fix the item. Mounting only on the contact surfaces of the latches on the same plane an error when solve

You may be interested by adding Forces to lock edges. If loads are in equilibrium and you check Remove Rigid Body Modes option in settings you may omit to use Constraints.

I want to know the load, at which the latches are displaced so that it was possible to remove the cover. And then to see whether the model will not break at the same time. What actions can I do this, using the  displacement and safety factor?

You have multiple choices:

1) You may use Prescribed Displacement (type of Constraint) on the same edges like forces above. Keep selected only axis parallel with radial direction in given position and define displacement in this direction in size which unlocks the cover. No loads are necessary in this case. Also check Remove Rigid Body Modes option in settings. After solve you may use Reaction Force command (RMB on any Prescribed Displacement) to find load size on edges. This should be mainly useful when you add the cover.

2) To remove cover it seems necessary to use four Forces on limited area similar to Force in your sample. To recognize the size of displacement on lock position you may switch result to Displacement in direction X, threshold colorbar (drag colorbar end) until edge disappears and the value gives you information about deformation size. This value is not too far from maximum value. Note: In January version should be available Probes to easily discover result value at given position.

Thank you for the tip. One question - I do not understand how I take mount (structural constraint) cover, if I use your solution 2?

In solution 2 it is hard to reach equilibrium. Therefore you need to constrain some top face near the axis where is minimal deformation.
