Performance problems / crashes with model

Can anyone help me understand what I did in this model that is causing frequent 5-10 second long pauses (spinning beach ball on Mac). These happen when, for instance, hiding or showing these scalloped bodies or when editing maching ops related to them.  I also have seen more crashes in this model than in others I've yet done in Fusion.

Alternatively/additionally maybe you could suggest a better way to do what I did (scalloped shape by using two-rail loft).

Thanks!

Below are a few tips that may help. I'm having some difficulties accessing the files from the public link. Could you try refreshing that link in a new reply?

You may try using the Enable Better Performance command to sacrifice some visual accuracy for performance.

You may also try using the Repair Body command. This command will highlight problem areas that can also slow down everything down a bit.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

I was able to download the file. I apologize for the ealier suggestoins, they would not apply to this model. Now that I can see how the model is created, I believe the performance issue is related to the calculations for the fillet1 feature in the timeline. You'll note that the performance increases if you suppress that feature in the timeline. I will submit this to development for further review and let you know what I find out.

One suggestion for an alternate workflow may be to create the body using the scultp and circular symmetry. Check out the below screencast and let me know if it helps or if you have any questions.

Thanks a bunch for the screencast, that was really helpful!  I definitely need to explore sculpt more.
