Patterns: progressive spacing?

Trying to create a pattern where the spacing is progressive. Meaning the pattern spacing gets progressively larger/smaller. Is there a way to do this? I was also wondering if it is possible to increase the dimensions or size/scale of a feature that is in a pattern?

No, at least I am not aware of a way.

For something a simple as pictured. you could make a sketch that references a couple parameters and get the same result.
