hi,

I have 2 rather large designs which are now both unusable.

Each has several hundred warnings and dozens of errors in the timeline.

I have probably brought this on myself by ignoring them as I have edited my design.

I simply did not know to pay attention to this until recently.

I also had been unaware that Fusion 360 would let me proceed when it apparently cannot allow me to proceed without resoving these issues.

So, here I am, with months of work invested (and perhaps at risk of losing my job).

Do I start over? If so, how can I avoid the same fate. Error messages such as "Compute Failed" hardly give me enough information to resolve these issues.

Or, can what I have be fixed? If so, how to proceed. Again, how do I know what to fix based on the cryptic error messages.

I have looked at this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ef1k-uDl3WU

This is where I learned of the problem, but little help as how to solve each instance.

Thanks in advance for all of your help,

mike

Hi @mcham99,

My best guess for the errors and warnings, is because you have deleted some bodies or plans which has been used as reference! It is a classic mistake that unfortunately a lot of people are doing.

Next time use the Remove tool instead. Look at this video for more information about Delete vs Remove: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZfNC4R2sg8

Cheers / Ben

Can you share your desing ?

I don't believe general advise would be very helpful given the urgency of the matter.

Trippy,

Unfortunately, I cannot share the design.

I am proceeding wit exporting .Step files for each body and creating an assembly fresh.

thanks,

mike
