parting line draft

hi 

im doing some of the model mania solid works projects i am currently doing model mania 2004 phase 1

In solid works when creating a draft you can choose a parting line instead of a plane is there a way to achieve this with fussion

this is on the top part of the model

Just realized the functionality is not built in - I use Parting Line draft in Solidworks nearly 100% of the time, and have been trying to convert to Fusion for side work. Will check IdeaStation and upvote if it has already been suggested.

Just an FYI, I didn't see an Idea for parting line draft, so I created one...support it if you'd like to see it added to the draft tool!

I'm disappointed that Autodesk chose not to include the create parting line command in Autodesk Mechanical. I have been using MDT2009 since, well, 2009. The parting line tool in it kind of sucks, but with some repair work one can create a decent parting line using that tool. I have maintained my subscription to Inventor and Mechanical to have a more contemporary modelling tool and to have that parting tool, but there is so much baggage in that program (for a guy with fairly simple 3-d needs) to take the time to learn it.

Happy to share that Parting Line Draft is now available in Fusion with June 2020 release.
I'd encourage you to give it a try and share your feedback.
