operating system update

Hi folks, I have been off my Mac for a few weeks and when signing in to fusion i am prompted to upgrade my mac. the operating system is  10.9.5 can someone tell me what i need to do to resolve this. Thank you.

Thank you for posting! Unfortunately OS 10.9 is no longer supported. Would you be able to upgrade the OS?
