NPT threading(using coil command?

What I have done is made a tapered 1.7899 OD. I try to go in with coil command to do custom threads just doesn't seem right. I was wandering if maybe there is a video shows or someone could make me a quick video showing me. Also another question I have King Nipple thread/hose end I was messing around to.

Hi! Welcome to the Fusion 360 community! The coil command seems like the best solution if you want to model the actual threads. Could you explain further what is meant by it does not seem right? Are you looking to apply bitmap, texture appearances that represent the threads? If so, this is only possible on non-tapered cylindirical surfaces.

When using the coild command, are you adding a 1 deg taper angle in the coil command? Note that you may add a chamfer to the triangular section to simulate the flat part of the thread profile for NPT threads.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
