No error message when saving a local file fails

I tried to save a local file and Fusion remembered where I put the file last time.  Only problem is that I moved that folder into another folder so the location did not exist.  I did not think of that at the time and just hit save.  It appeared to work (no error but also no indication of saving which I think is normal).  Then I couldn't find the file.  I went back and tried saving it again thinking I had just forgotten to hit the last "save" button or something.  Then I remembered that I moved folders so selected the new folder location and it worked.  I should have gotten some sort of notification the save didn't work.

This is under Windows 7

The export dialog is pretty bad, it was "improved" a while ago and they made something that worked into what we have now. A work around so you're not working in the dark when it comes to where you're saving is, right click the top node in the browser (the file name if you've saved) then pick Export, this will give you the normal windows save dialog where you can see the directory and all the files.

Good to know that.  Thanks!  Will try to remember to do it that way.

I am not marking this as resolved as this is a work around not a true fix for the problem.

I talked with the developer who's working on this a while ago and there are plans to improve the export dialog but it still didn't seem as convenient as the save dialog you get from right clicking a component. By the way you can select any component below the top node and only that component will export, comes in handy sometimes.

Was just using the method you suggested and noted a wierdness...  The default file name isn't the name of the file I am using.  It seems to be the folder name (not file name) I used previously in saving with the other method.  Easily changed and obvious but very strange.  Second time I used that method the file name was blank so maybe this only happens the first time.
