Newbie with simple cap design to 3d print in Cura

I create a  simple cap that I wanted to 3d print. I created a sketch of 7mm circle, extruded to 14mm, used the shell to .25mm inside thickness from the bottom and then drafted the face of the bottom by 1.5 degrees to give it a taper. I exported as stl and then opened in Cura 5.9.

Hi,

I can see from your picture that there is a zero 3D print time. Is that the issue? What is your actual problem? Can you

attach your fusion file so we can have a look?

Cheers

I thought I did. See if this works. Yes why is the file showing no print time and the layers only show as 1.

you're wall thickness is .25mm.  that's really thin.  cura is ignoring that part of the model and not slicing it because it's unprintable with your current settings.

Hi,

As @laughingcreek has suggested, Cura cannot cope with walls that thin. Most 3D printers for non-industrial use

only have a resolution of 0.2mm so 0.25mm is approaching that limit. Unless you have upgraded your actual print

head on the printer it is unlikely you will be able to print with those tollerances. Many print heads are 0.4mm

nozzles default, hence you have to upgrade them. Some Cura settings will allow you to print to 0.2mm but usually

the quality is quite poor.

Cheers
