Not sure whether should I post it here or in Support, but as it relates to New UI let it be here.
Two issue with new UI and Mesh tools:
1. No MESH palette! 
2. While in DM and working with Mesh - no way to select and work with faces.
While in "capture history" mode - everything's ok.
