new to fusion joint assembly, basic question

I am trying to mate piece 1 to the holes in piece 2 and 3. Piece 2 and 3 are both revolving in the plane shown, and piece 1 was created based on a distance between these holes. How do I attach piece 1 to both of these holes, I keep getting an error when I try to do two revolute joints.

Check that all pieces are faces parallel, with perpendicular holes, alignments are required to be perfect.  Fudging with Cylindrical Joints might help with that.

Parts 2 and 3 are free to rotate, on there current fixing positions, if locked or with limits, can’t align to 1, might be the trouble.

Attach the file, for better than guessing.

Try using a cylindrical motion.

Are you saying,

Don't worry about model alignment errors, because Cylindrical works?

Wow.

Alignment inherits from the joint object. You don't need the pins, but I thought it would help for clarity.

No. That's not what I'm saying at all. Nor is it pertinent to the initial question. "How do I attach piece 1 to both of these holes, I keep getting an error when I try to do two revolute joints."

Try a cylidrical joint.

When I open your "solution" that you attached -- it does not appear to be correct to me?

Initial question: "How do I attach piece 1 to both of these holes"

If the question is about model alignment and kinematics please state so.

He found his problem - misaligned faces - his revolves are working,

refer to message 2 above, Cylindrical fudge works, but doesn't fix his alignment problem.
