Needle projection

Hello !

I´m trying to design a cylinder with needles projected from the surface.  

is there any suggestion for how to design a needle ( 1 mm in length and a tip opening 0.5 mm in diameter)?

Also, I got stuck on how to extrude the needle from the surface of the cylinder any help?

Try revolve function.

I made a lot of needles on the cylinder because I wasn't sure which direction I wanted the needle to go.

Sketch the needle shape and make the needle in Revolve.
