Need help with drawing need to make openings on face like the first one in the row .

i get error message: THE OPERATION FAILED. TRY ADJUSTING THE VALUES OR CHANGING THE INPUT GEOMETRY

any help would be appreciated

Your "model" is a bit strange, entirely made of surfaces.  Anyway, I used the Surface Trim command to open up each opening in the top surface.  I am hoping that is what you wanted.  Model is attached.

I think you take a look at your modeling approach.  my first question is why are you using surfaces, and not solid bodies, at all?  second is why do you have so many different bodies?

I didn't attempt to recreate your exact model, but the attached example has all the same types of features that I think you where trying to achieve.  and it's WAY easier to both model and to make future edits.  take a look through the time line and see if you can't work out what's going on.
