Move Geometry Question

Is it possible to draw a circle, and type where you want it to appear on the sketch?

say X1.5 Y.5?

When I use the move tool, I see I can move it with X & Y but that is relative to it's current position. Is there a way to move it to absolute X & & of the sketch?

Hi @ARTHUR-HM,

Unfortunately, the move command only works with (x,y,z) relative to the current position when enabling the move command. However, we can accomplish the desired result using constraints!

In the attached screencast, I used your example to show how you would "move" the sketched circle from its sketched position to its desired coordinates.

Hope this helps!

Not exactly what I was hoping for, but I submitted a feature request. This will do in the mean time.

If you draw your sketch at the origin and appropriately compensate I believe the current move tool can adequately accommodate your needs. Is there a more specific reason for needing this feature?

I usually do it this way.

For sketching a circle, for instance, in EZCAM I can click the icon and quickly type in diameter and type an x, y, z and hit enter. It makes sketching parts based on a print rather quick. Especially a print with a lot of holes.

Is it needed? No. I've adapted to the way Fusion works just fine. All the old guys in my shop? Not so much.
