move-create copy / McMaster Carr

If I import a bolt from McMaster and use Move-Create copy am unable to use the copy of the bolt in a Joint. It greys out when I launch the joint command.

However copy /paste version of the bolt will work. 😉

Feature or bug?

On the Move dialog are you setting the "Move Object" to component? I think you might be coping a body.

I started by selecting a component in the list on the left of the screen, then hit "M".

So the dialogue popped up pre-populated with "move component", I then checked "make copy" and dragged the component in question to make another.

Tried this several times. Each time would grey out when I hit "J".

So then gave up and used copy/paste instead.

Just tried that and it worked fine so I don't know why it doesn't work for you. Has it worked in the past, might be worth closing Fusion and restarting. If it still doesn't work can you make a screencast?

You're right.

A restart fixed it.

Thx. !
