Move/Copy- missing check box for copy

I created a circle in a sketch plane.  Then select it and the move/copy command.  The copy check box appeared and a made my copy.  I want to do it again with either the original circle or its duplicate.  When I select move/copy again, there is no copy selection check box.  So how do I copy it again? I have tried to find an answer in the learning materials and forum but did not see anything relevant.  Suggestions?

@mikeireland,

Unfortunately, the Move/Copy command for sketch objects does not support the copy option.  I think that is an oversight that is on our list to correct.  Until then, you have to select your circle, and choose Copy from the right-click menu (or use CTRL-C or CMD-C depending on Windows or Mac), and paste (or CTRL-V/CMD-V).  I apologize for the inconvenience.

You say "I created a circle in a sketch plane.  Then select it and the move/copy command.  The copy check box appeared and a made my copy.".  Can you record a screencast of this?  I don't get the copy checkbox when I do this (which is what I expect), so I'd like to understand how it does work for you...

Thanks Jeff. I would like to be able to forward a screen cast, however I am unable to duplicate what I did.  I was flaying around trying to get it to copy and once I did I could not get it to do it again.  I look forward to the copy function working in sketch mode.

It's true that there isn't a move check box for sketches, but there is another way which is the Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V copy paste method, which will give you the same results you're looking for

The copy checkbox shows for me every time on the 2nd try, never on the first - select objects, right click, move copy... no checkbox, hit escape, select objects again, right click move copy again, now the copy checkbox shows with other functionality like typing in distance units for each axis. Odd glitch.

I was going to chime in, having copied the article once, you continue with more Pastes, no need to recopy.   If you stumbled onto @robrown82 workflow, don’t know if the multiple pastes would work in his situation.

Undocumented feature?  PITA to set up.

Might help.....
