Move a body from 1 component to another without affecting joint

I imported a latch from McMaster and rigid jointed it to a table that is revolute jointed to a larger table, fold up table wing. When I tried to move the striker/catch body from the imported Mcmaster component to the larger table component to remain stationary while the smaller table folds down the revolute joint between the smaller table and the larger table stopped working. I thought there might be a "break link" kind of thing but I can't seem to find it. How do I need to go about moving a body from one component to another without disturbing joints?

It all has to do with the Browser structure.  The McMaster-Carr component is only a single component, you need to separate out the striker into a new component so you can place and join it where you desire.  I only did one side, the process has to be repeated on the other.  I do not think you will need the assembly back since everything is in the Screencast.
